Diesel Generator Fuel Systems

Does your diesel generator fuel system meet current regulations and requirements?

The code that backup generators currently fall under is the B139 Act. However, 100% of diesel generators installed before 2000 do not meet this code and therefore require upgrading.

Waterline is a registered contractor familiar with code requirements and will do a site assessment as well as the upgrade to ensure you meet current standards.

At Waterline Environmental Inc., we ensure your new diesel generator fuel system is safe and reliable – preventing the risk of spilling concerns. We follow EPA requirements on diesel generator fuel systems and ensure our clients comply with special spill prevention and control regulations.

CSA Standard B139, Installation Code for Oil-Burning Equipment

Ontario’s B139 standard consists of requirements for large installations, stationary engines, special installations, and installation codes for oil-burning equipment for residential and small commercial buildings.

The installation code for oil-burning equipment includes specific requirements for high-pressure fuel piping to be consistent with the Boilers and Pressure Vessels Code, consistency with the Ontario Fire Code and National Fire Code, and additional regulations.
